You will have the ability to create some beautiful pieces of art even if you don't feel like you're very artistic.

Frame Your Own Pictures

If you delight in taking photos, chances are you have plenty of them just sitting in boxes and drawers. And if you work with a digital camera to take pictures then a large portion of your hard drive is probably taken up with lots of gigabytes of photographs. How about using some of those pictures to make some hand-made artwork for your wall? Not only is this activity cheap, but it also doesn't require any special artistic talent. Just choose some of the pictures you love the most and then hang them in picture frames. You can even get your photos enlarged by delivering the prints or digital files to a print store or perhaps a camera section in a department store. Or you could make a creative scrapbook page and then display it in a 12x12 picture frame. When you are eventually finished you'll have art that is not only meaningful to you personally, but that is also just as attractive as the prints you can locate at a gallery or some other stores that are very expensive.

Create Your Own Textures Wall Hangings

Textile wall hangings are yet another form of art that can be employed to add a lot of beauty to your home. Even if you do not have a lot of sewing talent, there are still wall hangings you can create on your own. For example, you could tie cords onto a support rod and then weave interesting patterns with fabric pieces. If you like quilting, you can create a small quilt wall hanging. You could even take a big piece of canvas, sew a pocket along the upper edge for hanging it up, then paint designs on the canvas using stencils. If there are children in the home, they might enjoy creating a few of these works of art as well.

Using Collectables to Embellish Your Walls

Little collectables may also be used to produce interesting wall art. One thing you might try is to display a collection of spoons or even perhaps thimbles on your wall. There are actually even specially designed display cases which you can use for this purpose. You might even wish to make your own kind of display with some little items and a shadow box frame. If you enjoy photography, you may even want to create interesting art arrangements using your collectables, which you can then photograph, print and display in picture frames. This will work whether you use objects that you have already collected over time, or instead choose to search thrift stores, flea markets, and garage sales to find neat objects that would look great in your house.

Whether you choose to use your collectables or some simple pictures, you can't go wrong with these fun and easy methods for making your own wall art.
